Concerto

for solo violin and small chamber orchestra (9 solo instruments)

Year of composition: 1944

Nine years after the composer's death and 77 years after the composition of "Konzertmusik" ("Concerto") it has been performed for the first time. Originally composed for his fellow students at the Brunswick conservatory, a performance at the time was no more possible because they had been drafted to the army in January 1944.
