Korean premiere of Erlkönig

On 31 August 2024, Hans Werner Henze's orchestral fantasy Erlkönig was performed for the first time in South Korea.

This was made possible through the mediation of Cord Meijering, who maintains good contacts with the Daejon Cosmpopolitan Music Festival.

The DCMF Orchestra performed under the direction of Bulgarian conductor Nayden Todorov, who was also Bulgaria's Minister of Culture at the time.

With the great success at the end of the festival, Henze's music is now also present in South Korea.
