The new production of The Prince of Homburg premiered at Oper Frankfurt on 22 September 2024.

On 31 August 2024, Hans Werner Henze's orchestral fantasy Erlkönig was performed for the first time in South Korea.

A collaboration with the Gustav Mahler Research Centre in Toblach and the musicology department of the University of Innsbruck began in 2019: A composition workshop was set up under the direction of institute director Federico Celestini and composer Stefan Hakenberg, inspired by Henze's similar initiatives in Montepulciano, Deutschlandsberg and Munich.

The Managing Director of the Hans Werner Henze Foundation, Michael Kerstan, visited the Munich Foundation Day on July 5. As interesting as it was to get to know numerous cultural, social and nature foundations in all their diversity, the sometimes massive proposals to invest foundation funds were irrelevant. We will therefore probably leave it at a one-off visit.

As part of the DFG project "Henze Digital - Hans Werner Henze's Artistic Network", the international and interdisciplinary symposium "Music, Networks, Self-Testimonies: Current Research on Hans Werner Henze" with researchers and companions took place.

The late premiere of Henze's first work, thought lost, takes place at Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie

The Hans Werner Henze Foundation was invited to speak at the XVIII. International Conference on Music Analysis and Theory in Rimini to talk about its founder.

Hans Werner Henze's Sonata for Viola and Piano from 1946 is initially defined by two external circumstances: Firstly, it is not only one of the earliest works he composed, it is also one of the few juvenilias to have survived (the preceding works handed down to us can be counted on one hand).
