The Executive Director of the Hans Werner Henze Foundation attended the performance of Das Floß der Medusa in Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk Oblast), Russia, at the invitation of the organiser. Here is his report:

On 2 September 2019, journalist Nina Amin conducted a conversation with Michael Kerstan on La Leprara about the future of Henze's estate. It was broadcast on 19 September 2019 in the TonArt series on WDR 3 and on 24 September 2019 in the Treffpunkt Klassik series on SWR 2.

At the 44th Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte in Montepulciano, a choreography of Henze's Sinfonia N. 8 will be shown, a danced Midsummer Night's Dream.

Hans Werner Henze is considered a leading composer after 1945, but seven years after his death his legacy is under threat.

Commissioned by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hans Abrahamsen orchestrated the last two movements of Hans Werner Henze's Sonatina 1947.
